SHANE Ferguson has been called up by new Northern Ireland boss Ian Baraclough for their Nations League games against Romania and Norway next month.
Those games take place on Friday, September 4 and the following Monday, clashing with Millwall’s EFL Cup first-round fixture at Crawley Town that Saturday.
The Lions have the option of requesting a postponement of the cup fixture if three or more of their players are called into international squads, but the club are believed to want to play the tie.
Ireland, Scotland and Wales are also in action that week. Troy Parrott could be called into the Ireland squad with Shaun Williams also an option for boss Stephen Kenny. Murray Wallace and Tom Bradshaw have chances, however slim, of being involved with Scotland and Wales, respectively.
Iceland’s Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and Jiri Skalak, of the Czech Republic, could also miss the Crawley fixture.
