NEIL Harris said his glass is “half-full” after picking up seven points from a potential nine on his return to Millwall.
Last night’s draw at Blackburn Rovers kept up the head coach’s unbeaten start but the relentless nature of the Championship relegation battle means Millwall are just two points clear of the bottom three with 10 games remaining.
But Harris is happy with what he’s seen so far and is excited to keep the momentum going against Birmingham City on Saturday.
He said after the game: “I’m really pleased with the points total. Seven points from three games when you have Southampton, Watford and then come to Blackburn, notoriously a very tough place for us to come as a football club. So to get seven points is a great return so our glasses our half-full with that.
“I’ve seen a lot of positives. I’ve seen some things I’ve been warned about within the group, ie we could be slightly better with the ball. But what I’ve seen is a real character and determination and desire about the group and that’s what I want to see, that’s what any Millwall manager should wants to see from his team, that’s what the fan base want to see.
“I see a real desire and determination to pick points up, home and away. And the big thing for me is we’ve come off the game tonight, given a poor goal away, but it was mentioned in the changing room by the players that that’s a really good point tonight because we’re back at The Den Saturday and we’re excited about being at The Den. Any Millwall home side should be excited about playing at The Den.”
