Tickets for Southwark Park’s fireworks display this November 5 are now available.
This is the council’s fifteenth fireworks show and once again will be free for residents – and synchronised with music – to celebrate Guy Fawkes’ day.
The council has promised a ‘pyrotechnical extravaganza’, describing the show as ‘spectacular’.
Tickets are free to anyone living in the borough on a first-come-first-served basis but due to huge demand – last year’s event was fully sold-out – people are advised to book early.
Residents from outside Southwark can also attend but will have to pay a small fee.
Cllr Rebecca Lury, cabinet member for culture, leisure, equalities and communities, said: “Fireworks night is my favourite night of the year so I am delighted that we are able to, once again, provide a free fireworks event for the people of Southwark.
“This year promises to be spectacular and I hope to see as many local people and families taking advantage of their free tickets and enjoying this year’s wonderful community event.”
Gates will open at 5pm with final entry at 6.30pm, with visitors advised to arrive as early as possible.
There will be food, drink and entertainment until 8pm.
