DAVID Forde is leaving Millwall after nine years, the club have announced.
Forde spent the 2016-17 season on loan at Portsmouth where he won the League Two title, the first league winners medal of his career in England.
Former Republic of Ireland international Forde’s contract expires at the end of next month, and the 37-year-old has said he wants to carry on playing.
Forde joined Millwall from Cardiff in 2008 and went on to play 339 times for the club, winning the League One play-off title in 2010.
Forde lost his place to Jordan Archer during the 2016-16 season. Lions boss Neil Harris has Tom King as his current number two, while U23 stopper Harry Girling has also been retained.
Millwall have also officially announced that Joe Martin will not be offered a new deal, after NewsAtDen reported it this morning.
Martin leaves the club two years after joining from Gillingham.
Millwall are still in negotiations with Shaun Williams, Shaun Cummings and Jimmy Abdou.
They say they are also talking to Fred Onyedinma, but he admitted this week that he had already made up his mind on his future.
Elite Development Squad players Rian Bray and Kyron Farrell join Alfie Pavey and Gregg Wylde in leaving the club.
