FRED Onyedinma scored in back-to-back league games for the first time in three-and-a-half years as Wycombe continued their resurgence with a 3-0 win over Rochdale in League One on Tuesday night.
Onyedinma added the third as his side climbed to 14th in the table.
The last time Onyedinma, 21, scored in successive league games was on loan at Wycombe against Stevenage and Tranmere in February and March 2015.
Also in League One, Ben Thompson delivered a second successive man-of-the-match performance as Portsmouth drew 2-2 at home to Burton.
Thompson, playing recently in a more advanced midfield role, crossed for Oli Hawkins to give Kenny Jackett’s Pompey the lead.
But Devante Cole equalised before Jake Hesketh put the Brewers in front.
Portsmouth rescued a point through Matt Clarke’s header, but their lead at the top of League One was cut to four points after Peterborough’s 1-0 win over Fleetwood.
Also in League One, Tom King was on the bench for AFC Wimbledon as their struggles continued with a 2-0 defeat at Bristol Rovers.
Former Lions midfielder Ed Upson put Rovers in front, and Tony Craig played in the centre of their defence.
In League Two, Sid Nelson was serving a one-game ban for five bookings and missed Swindon’s 2-0 defeat at home to Cambridge United, for whom ex-Millwall goalkeeper David Forde, 38, kept a first clean sheet since September 1.
Meanwhile, in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup, Harry Donovan went off at half-time as his side Dagenham & Redbridge lost 1-0 at home to Boreham Wood.
