MILLWALL’S footballers are into the final day of their training camp in Portugal and club physio Bobby Bacic has said the squad has a clean bill of health.
Neil Harris and his backroom team have been putting the players through a gruelling regime in temperatures often over 30°C.
Harris has been adamant all summer that the Lions will not be found wanting in the physical stakes in Sky Bet League One this season.
And Bacic says the squad have so far come through the week, which has included three sessions a day, with no injury concerns.
The Lions conclude their five-day trip with a final run-out today before flying back to London this evening.
Striker Lee Gregory said the players will come back eager to bring all the good work to fruition on the pitch.
He told the club’s official website: “The team is already there bonding-wise, we’ll get the fitness work out of the way and will come back raring to go.”
Supporters will get the first chance to see the fruits of the squad’s labour when they step on the pitch at Hayes Lane to take on the Conference Premier side Bromley on Tuesday evening.
