Members of the Bonamy and Bramcote Tenants’ and Residents’ Association celebrated their 10th St George’s Day last weekend with a day of fun and games at Ilderton Primary.
A Punch ‘n’ Judy Show, animals from Surrey Docks Farms, a bouncy castle, a football ‘beat the keeper’ challenge, a face painter and a tattooist were among the attractions on Saturday. Resident-run stalls selling bric-a-brac, jewellery, tasty treats and books also drew a crowd.
The event was opened by the Mayor of Southwark, with parliamentary candidates Harriet Harman, Simon Hughes, the ward’s three councillors and a special visit from two Chelsea pensioners all joining in the fun.
