PECKHAM RYE lost their second home game of the season and second in a row when they hosted high-flyers Eltham Lions last weekend.
The Rye started on the back foot with Eltham having the better of the early exchanges until the home side found their feet. They went close on several occasions, the best chance falling to Charlie Eldridge who brought the best out of the Lions keeper who tipped the ball onto the bar.
After the break John Woolley forced another outstanding save from the visiting stopper.
Eltham were buoyed by those heroics and they went in front from a corner.
They then took advantage of Rye pressing for an equaliser by countering and sealing all three points.
