Asda staff in Old Kent Road will fundraise for Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now, as part of October’s Tickled Pink campaign, writes Christopher Carey…
Fundraising activity will take place in-store and in the local area throughout October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Asda has already raised £60m through the campaign over the past 22 years to support improved care, support and information for those affected by breast cancer.
Emma Gittoes, Asda’s national charities manager said: “As this year’s Tickled Pink campaign launches in Old Kent Road, it is an ideal time to say a massive thank-you to all of our colleagues and customers who have whole-heartedly supported the campaign in previous years – and to call upon their support again this October.’’
A spokesperson for Asda Old Kent Road added: “This year, colleagues in Old Kent Road will be ‘in the pink’ throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month to raise awareness of breast cancer, and the fundraising activities taking place in-store and in the local community.
“From a pink non-uniform day, cake sales to a tombola colleagues will be busy raising funds for the charities supported through Tickled Pink to ensure that care and advise is available for anyone facing a breast cancer diagnosis.
“At Asda Old Kent Road, we will be proud to be pink – and we hope you can join us!”
