The man accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting an eight-year-old boy in Burgess Park last month has appeared in court.
Shane Upton, 24, of no fixed address, appeared at Inner London Crown Court.
He has now been remanded in custody at HMP High Down and will enter a plea at the same court on September 16.
Upton was charged by police after a child was reported missing from the area at 5.20pm in the evening of June 17.
He is charged with one count of committing an offence with intent to commit a sexual offence and two counts of assault on an emergency worker.
If he pleads not guilty, the case is expected to go to trial in December.
