A local boozer has launched a search to pay someone to go on a road-trip and attend events at pubs all summer long.
The Anchor Bankside on Park Street is advertising for an events tester, calling for a local to attend events to help shape their own events programme – and get paid £2,000 for it.
The chosen applicant will have to report back on their road-trip of pub events to the boozer, so they can plan their own entertainments and attractions.
Alex Kane, general manager at the boozer, said: “Events are a great way to bring the community together and there’s nothing better than spending time with family and friends at your local pub, especially over the summer.
“That’s why we are creating an action-packed summer of events for locals, with help from our first ever official event tester.
“So, if you fancy attending pub events and sampling an exciting range of food and drink – all while getting paid to do so, then we want to hear from you!”
Other pubs also taking part include the George Inn, Horse & Groom and the Salt Quay.

Applications are open until Sunday, June 9.
