Last-minute lovebirds can buy bouquets from an Aldi flower stall at Waterloo Station in the run-up to Valentine’s Day.
With 25 per cent of men forgetting to buy their partners a gift, the budget outlet is a last-chance saloon for hopeless romantics dashing for the train.
Julie Ashfield, Manager Director of Buying at Aldi UK, said: “By launching a flower stall at the centre of one of the UK’s busiest train stations, we hope to lend a helping hand to those strapped for both time and money.
“Whether it’s for a partner, family, or friend, our stunning range of bouquets will mean commuters can arrive home with the perfect bunch at the best possible value.”
Opening at the centre of the station on February 13 – the day before Valentine’s – shoppers can expect deals including a dozen roses for £4.49 and other bouquets starting at £2.29.
100 per cent of the proceeds from the stall will be donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Aldi predicts it will sell two bunches of flowers a second in the run-up to Valentine’s Day.
