A charity supporting sick and disabled children and their families in south east London is still looking for keen runners to take its last few places in the Vitality Big Half.
The Maypole Project, based in Orpington, still has charity places for the half marathon through Southwark, Lambeth and Greenwich on Sunday, March 10, even though all public places have sold out.
Sally Flatteau Taylor, the charity’s chief executive, said: “The Maypole Project provides a lifeline of support for children with complex medical needs and their families – from counselling and support groups, to activities including sports clubs, drumming workshops and soft play sessions.
“At the moment, we are only able to reach 30 per cent of the families in the south east London area who need our help and our vision is to support each and every one.
“If you’re looking for a new challenge this New Year, join us at The Big Half and make a huge difference to local children.”
The deadline is Wednesday, 6 February.
