Two teenagers have been charged with two counts of attempted robbery and two counts of grievous bodily harm following an incident in Burgess Park this week.
King Green, 18, (d.o.b. 15.02.04) of Camberwell, and a 17-year-old male were charged today (Wednesday 13 April).
They were also charged with possession of an offensive weapon.
Their arrest came after reports of robbery where two men were said to have been stabbed in the park in the early hours of Tuesday morning (April 12). Police said neither of the victims’ injuries were life-threatening or life-changing.
Both teenagers charged are due appear in custody at Croydon Magistrates’ Court today.
Burgess Park should be closed at night like other parks in this borough and throughout London. Southwark Council yet again! Plus their should be some kind of Police presence or even Wardens patrolling Burgess Park.
