MILLWALL were the eighth highest scorers in the Football League last season, according to Football League statistics released this week.
Seventy-three league goals ensured a top 10 finish for the Lions, with champions Wigan and free-scoring Peterborough the only League One clubs ahead of them.
Along with seven other teams, Neil Harris’ men were placed sixth in the most wins category with 24 victories – only runners-up Burton won more (25).
Clean sheets are a good base for a successful side and in Jordan Archer’s breakthrough season, the Lions claimed 17 – the fifth best in League One – behind Bradford, Burton, Scunthorpe and Wigan.
In addition to that, a goal difference of +24 – the club’s best since the 2009-10 campaign – saw Millwall finish as the best of the rest in that category. Wigan ran away with top spot with +37, the joint second best in the country.

Thirteen wins and three draws at The Den meant that the Lions secured 61% of the points on offer at home over the course of the season – a considerable improvement on recent years – whilst 11 wins and six draws on the road secured 57% of the points on offer.
The Lions’ final points tally of 81 was split 52% and 48% home and away respectively.
