MILLWALL have confirmed Gary Rowett as their new manager.
Rowett, 45, takes over from Neil Harris and will be joined by Callum Davidson as his assistant manager.
Adam Barrett will remain in caretaker charge for Tuesday’s league fixture against Cardiff City, which Rowett will watch from the stand.
Rowett emerged as the Lions’ preferred choice following interviews last week, with chairman John Berylson giving his seal to the appointment.
Millwall made their job offer on Saturday night after the 3-2 defeat to Brentford.
Technical coach Joe Carnall also joins Rowett and Davidson, while Milwall have confirmed that Dan McLoone (analysis), Alex Aldridge (recruitment), Laurence Bloom (sports science) and Paul Tanner (medical) will continue as the heads of their departments.
Rowett impressed with tight budgets at Burton and Birmingham, turning around both clubs’ fortunes.
He has led teams into the play-offs three times, twice with the Brewers in League Two and with Derby County in the 2017-18 Championship.
Rowett’s first match in charge will be against his former club Stoke on Saturday.
