MILLWALL boss Neil Harris is not saying how many wins he thinks his side will need from the last nine games to finish in the top six.
The Lions have won six and drawn three of their last nine games, and it is likely to take at least that kind of run for them to have a chance of making up the deficit of six points – likely seven taking into account goal differences – and overhauling four teams to make the play-offs.
After 28 games, nine games ago, Millwall were 12 points off the promotion spots.
“You don’t know, there are teams in really good form and teams slipping away at the moment,” Harris said.
“All I know is we’re going unbelievably well and we’ve just got to continue that. If the boys could play today they would. They’d rather play than train. Training is getting in the way of games at the moment, to be honest.
“They are chomping at the bit for the next game to come. They will go to Barnsley full of confidence, but no arrogance about us because that is not in our make-up.
“They know if they are not at their best as a Millwall team then they’re not a good team.
“Whatever happens, we’ll be a good Millwall side on Saturday win, lose or draw.”
