HARRY SMITH scored the only goal of the game on his return to the Swindon side last weekend as the Robins moved into the League Two play-off places with a 1-0 win over Wycombe.
Smith – who was back at the County Ground after a week with the Lions when he played in an under-23 game – superbly volleyed home Matt Taylor’s cross in the 15th minute.
Smith could have added a second but shot wide while through on goal, but it didn’t matter as David Flitcroft’s side climbed up to seventh.
Also in League Two at the weekend, defender James Brown, 19, got another 90 minutes under his belt as Carlisle drew 1-1 with Notts County. Carlisle are 16th in the table.
Sid Nelson was on the bench as Yeovil earned a 1-1 draw with Barnet to stay in 18th in League Two.
In League One, Jimmy Abdou came off the bench after an hour as AFC Wimbledon’s struggles continued after a 1-0 defeat at home to Plymouth. The Dons are struggling in 19th place.
On Tuesday night, Jamie Philpot’s Woking dropped to fifth in the National League after their 3-1 defeat at Dover. Woking lost 2-0 to Alan Dunne’s Bromley last weekend.
