SHANE FERGUSON returns to Millwall today after he played for Northern Ireland in their 2-0 defeat to Germany on Tuesday night.
Ferguson started at left-wing back as first-half goals from Julian Draxler and Sami Khedira made it three wins from three for Germany.
Germany were two goals up after 17 minutes and looked set to run riot, but Michael O’Neill’s side put in a creditable performance after those early setbacks and had chances of their own through priligy Charlton striker Josh Magennis.
Northern Ireland are third in Group C and face Azerbaijan on November 11.
Ferguson and Mahlon Romeo, who faced a long trip last weekend to play for Antigua & Barbuda in their attempts to qualify for next year’s CONCACAF Gold Cup, will be assessed this week and will return to training either Thursday or Friday ahead of the League One clash with Northampton this Saturday.
