Bermondsey Town were beaten 3-2 by a late Peckham Town goal in their Kent County League Premier Division clash on Tuesday night.
The visitors went in front in the 28th minute through Kieran Dowding after Town centre-back Alex Akinble and goalkeeper Will Radford couldn’t clear the danger.
Mary Phillip’s side made it 2-0 eleven minutes into the second half as captain Nicky Meta whipped in a lovely cross and right-winger Michael Agyemang scored on his Peckham debut.
It got worse for Bermondsey an hour in when Jeremiah Afamefune was sent off for a second bookable offence.
The hosts got a goal back fifteen minutes from time through Agbor Sobeh.
Bermondsey then drew level in the 89th minute when Adedolapo Samo had a free header at the back post and calmly finished.
There were thirteen minutes of added-time and it was Peckham who grabbed the winner when Dowding scored his second.
“Tough one last night,” Town manager Stuart Wilson said. “Peckham were the better team for the first 60 minutes. We found ourselves 2-0 down and then went down to ten men. Great reaction to get it back to 2-2 but to then let a last-minute goal in was extremely disappointing.”
Bermondsey play Fleetdown United away this Saturday at 2.45pm. Their next game at home is on Saturday, November 4.
Phillip’s side are at home to New Romney, also in the league at 2.45pm.

Stansfeld travel to Ide Hill on Saturday for a 2.45pm kick-off.
In the SCEFL Premier Division, meanwhile, Fisher twice went ahead at VCD Athletic but had to be content with a draw on Tuesday night. Charles Yiadom-Konadu in the fifth minute and Mark Chidi five minutes into first-half stoppage-time were on target for the Fish.
Stansfeld lost 4-1 at Erith Town, Ryan Fowler making it 1-1 before the break before the hosts ran away with it in the second half.
Fisher, who are fourth, and nineteenth-place Stansfeld meet in a league derby at St Paul’s this Saturday at 3pm.
