Peckham’s Johnny Garton will get a chance to become English welterweight boxing king in March when he takes on Tyler Goodjohn for the vacant crown.
Garton was undefeated in 2015 and this put him in prime position for a title shot and it has been confirmed he will take on Goodjohn at the York Hall, Bethnal Green on March 19.
The 28-year-old Southwark man has won sixteen of his eighteen outings, with one loss and one draw also on his professional record.
His Cambridgeshire opponent, who is a former English super lightweight champion, has a record of twelve wins and four draws.
