Police have confirmed that the body they found in the Thames this week belonged to Harvey Parker, the student from Lambeth who went missing in December.
Twenty-year-old Harvey’s death is being treated as unexplained. His body was found near Embankment station in Westminster by lifeboat crews on Tuesday evening (January 4). Marine police officers recovered it from the Thames.
Officers are preparing a report for the coroner.
Detective chief inspector Lucy O’Connor, of the Central South Command Unit, said: “We are providing Harvey’s family with all the available information. We are also asking for media to please respect the family’s privacy at this challenging and difficult time.”
Harvey was last seen leaving Heaven, a nightclub by Charing Cross station in Westminster, at about 2.15am on Friday, December 17.
The University of York student had spent the day with his family before going to a concert in Brixton. He then went to the nightclub later in the evening.
