Two people have been arrested by detectives investigating the murder of 23-year-old Shane Jerome in Brixton.
An eighteen-year-old and seventeen-year-old were arrested in the early hours of Thursday, June 29 and remain in custody.
Twenty-three-year-old Shane, from Thornton Heath, was found with a critical stab injury, outside Brixton station, on Wednesday, 21 July, at 8.18pm. He died at the scene within half an hour.
A nineteen-year-old who was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm has since been released with no further action.
Detective Chief Inspector Kate Blackburn, leading the investigation, said: “It has been just over a week since Shane tragically lost his life.
“These arrests mark significant progress with our investigation and I hope it brings some reassurance to both Shane’s family and the wider community that my team are working around the clock to bring justice for his murder.
“I continue to urge anyone who was in the area and who may have seen anything, or have footage on their phone or dash cam, to please contact us.
