A fire at the waste management facility in Bermondsey’s Devon Street is now under investigation.
The brigade said sixty firefighters worked for three hours, under ‘arduous’ conditions to bring the fire under control.
They were called to the site Friday, May 29, shortly after 3pm.
Part of a single-storey unit, containing 200 tonnes of domestic waste, was damaged by the outbreak.
