A 25-year-old has been jailed for manslaughter after killing a man outside an Old Kent Road bar.
Jose Adolfo Licona Valladares was jailed for three years today (Friday October 30) at Inner London Crown Court for the killing of 45-year-old Santiago Lenin Borja Donoso.
The court heard that the pair had been involved in an altercation outside the venue on Sunday, February 23.
Santiago was pushed to the ground, hitting his head. He later died of his injuries on March 31.
Valladeres, of Brixton Hill, was originally charged with GBH, but this was changed to manslaughter when Santiago died.
He had pleaded to the crime earlier, on August 11.
“This was a very tragic incident in which a man needlessly lost his life,” said Detective Sergeant David Brooks.
“This altercation meant one man very sadly lost his life. Another will now spend time behind bars.”
