The Waterloo and City line, which runs between Waterloo and Bank stations, will start running a full service again for the first time in eighteen months in November, Transport for London (TfL) has said.
The line will reopen on November 22, operating on weekdays only. Trains will run from 6am to 12.30am, every three minutes at peak times and every five minutes off-peak. A peak time-only service has been in operation since June this year.
The two-station line, mostly used by commuters, closed in March 2020 amid the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Since the tube has begun to get busier, its drivers have been transferred to the more in-demand Central line.
The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said: “As Londoners and visitors return to the capital, whether that be for work or to enjoy London’s world-class culture and hospitality venues, it’s important that they can travel easily and safely around the city.
“The Waterloo & City line provides another great transport option and a vital link to the City, and the return of a full weekday service is a big boost for the capital’s economy as we continue to recover from the pandemic.”
