The Rotherhithe Festival is returning this July with live music, food and drinks.
The festival, which is taking place on July 9 on King George’s Field off Lower Road, will be dedicated to PCSO Albert Tedam, a popular local police community support officer who died aged just 55 on Boxing Day. His colleagues in the Rotherhithe safer neighbourhood team described him as “always humble and very chatty”.
The festival will feature music from acts like Greg Kofi-Brown, Phil Ramocon and Ramshackle, and Dr Elias and the Soul Surgeons.

Organiser Barry Duckett and the Right to Food organisation he is part of will also have a stall giving away fruit and vegetables. “We don’t want to see no one go hungry,” Barry said.
Police will also be at the festival on a recruitment drive. “I told them not to bring the drugs dog,” Barry joked.
