A 15-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of 16-year-old Teon Campbell-Pitter in New Cross.
Police were called at 4.06pm to a venue on Angus Street, last Wednesday, April 13, following reports of a fight in progress.
Teon Campbell-Pitter from Lewisham was found at the scene close to Fordham Park with stab injuries.
Officers responded with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance. Despite, the paramedics’ efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The teenager charged with his murder cannot be named because of his age. He has also charged with possession of a bladed article and appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court today (Monday, 18 April) where he was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey this Thursday, April 21.
It’s very easy to appear racist/homophobic/anti-semitic when posting comments, however, one can’t help but see what demographic makes up the most of knife related assaults/deaths.
The perpetrators AND the victims are often of the same cultural group.
It seems to be the norm – along with the connection to street drugs and the rap culture.
