Last weekend, Millwall faced a Charlton side at The Valley intent on revenge against their south London rivals. The game finished 0-0 after a host of chances for the visitors and a disallowed goal for the home side.
Millwall have kept three clean sheets in their last five, and have played the same starting XI for six games in a row.
Bradford played Cheltenham Town in the EFL Trophy third round on Tuesday night, winning 1-0 after a Jordy Hiwula goal.
Lucas Ball spoke to Tim Penfold for the lowdown on the Bantams.
My first game was 1997 but I didn’t start going regularly until 2001-02, so missed all the good stuff until a few years ago.
Bradford currently sit in fourth place in League One, do you think that you will really push on in the second half of the season? Where do you see yourselves finishing?: We’ve been playing really well for much of the season – we don’t allow many chances against us and we create plenty – it’s just sticking the ball in the net that’s the issue.
If we can sort that out then we can definitely buy keflex cephalexin 500mg generic push on, and I can easily see us making the playoffs.
Bradford looked to have strengthened well so far this window, who has been the best signing and do you think that anyone else is needed?: Alex Jones looks the best signing on paper – he’s scored plenty of goals in a Port Vale side that doesn’t really create much, so in theory he should get plenty in a side that creates.
Our best piece of business, however, has been extending Josh Cullen’s loan until the end of the season. I think we might need one more striker at a push, and to keep hold of our left-back James Meredith who is attracting admiring glances from elsewhere.
Who will Millwall have to watch out for on Saturday, and likewise, who do you think Bradford will have to be wary of?: Josh Cullen is one of the best midfielders in the division and has got even better this season. He thinks about four moves ahead, always has time on the ball and can completely control a game.
James Meredith at left-back has also been hugely impressive – he basically plays left-back and left-wing.
From your team, I’ve always hated playing against Steve Morison and Lee Gregory, and with our defence’s weakness against physical strikers I’m not looking forward to facing them on Saturday.
Finally, a score prediction?: I think it’s going to be a fairly open game, plenty of chances but not many goals – 1-1.
