AIDEN O’Brien is out for at least a month with the knee-ligament injury he suffered after he had scored his fifth goal of the season last weekend against Rochdale.
David Worrall should retain his place on the right side of midfield as Millwall go looking for a first league win in six games this Saturday at Walsall.
Ben Thompson is back after his one-game ban, but boss Neil Harris said after Tuesday night’s 3-1 defeat at Port Vale that midfielder Shaun Williams has been struggling with a back problem. If Williams isn’t fit to start Harris could pair Thompson and Calum Butcher in midfield.
Shaun Cummings, who has been out since February, is close to full fitness, but there is no date set for Shaun Hutchinson’s return.
If Harris decides on a more attacking line-up then Gregg Wylde, who made an impression after coming on at Vale Park, could start with Shane Ferguson moving to left-back where he finished the game on Tuesday.
Wylde has started just one league game since switching from Plymouth in the summer, but Harris hinted he could be in line for a place in the starting XI at the Bescot Stadium.
“Gregg showed his quality,” generic for lexapro name Harris said. “We brought him in to make an impact, to either start games and be exciting and run and get crosses in, or come off the bench and have an impact.
“And I thought he did, he put some good balls in the box and showed his pace and looked dangerous. Whether he’s starting or coming off the bench that’s the kind of lasting impression he has to leave on me and the fans.
“He deserves his opportunity.”
Meanwhile, Joe Edwards is still suspended for Walsall, while Reece Flanagan and Rory Oliver are long-term absentees.
Scott Laird couldn’t play against his parent club Scunthorpe during the week, but he comes back into contention this weekend.
Walsall lost that game 4-1 at home, bringing an end to a mini-revival that included handing Bolton their first defeat of the season.
The Saddlers are in the relegation zone, but a win on Saturday would see them leap above Millwall, who won 3-0 at the Bescot last season.
