TWO goals from Steve Morison helped Millwall on their way to a 3-1 victory at Chesterfield last weekend. Shane Ferguson scored the other as the Lions notched their first away league win of the campaign.
This weekend, it’s a repeat of the play-off semi-final of last season, as Bradford City visit The Den. Bantams fan Kate Eveleigh takes on The View From The Opposition…

What made you become an Bradford City supporter?: I grew up in Otley, which is a town between Leeds and Bradford. My dad wanted to take me and my brother to games when we were children – and he did the decent thing and chose Bradford! From then, it just stuck. We’ve been going to games together ever since.
The biggest change at Valley Parade over the summer came in a managerial sense – it must’ve been gutting to lose Phil Parkinson after such a successful and memorable period?: At the time it was. After losing in the play-off semi-final (to Millwall), Parkinson came out and urged everyone to get behind the team for a push this season, so it came out of the blue.
However, when he left, he took with him most of the backroom staff and a lot of our transfer targets, so Stuart McCall started with a bit of a mountain to climb. Parkinson will always be remembered for the work he did, but the way he left has left a sour nolvadex taste in people’s mouths.
Bradford lost in the play-off semi-finals last season – what is the aim this time round? Is it to go one better?: We were taken over in the summer and the new owners are still very much an unknown entity, so we were warned that this season might be a period of transition. But ,we’ve started a lot better than I expected, so I see no reason why we shouldn’t be aiming for promotion.
Likewise, Millwall also lost in the play-offs, but in the final to Barnsley. Do you see them being up the top again in 2016-17?: Definitely – especially if they keep hold of their key players.
What Bradford players will Millwall have to watch out for? On the flip side, who will you be worried about in the Lions side?: Josh Cullen is on loan from West Ham United again this season – it’s no coincidence that our form improved after he signed, both last season and this one. Mark Marshall has had a new lease of life with the attacking philosophy that McCall has brought and he can create chances. Roman Vincelot has impressed defensively, especially as it’s not his natural position. For Millwall, Gregory and Morison have always been a handful for us.
Finally, a score prediction?: It will be a tough game for both sides. I’ll say Millwall 1-1 Bradford City.
