A vulnerable cuckooing victim whose home had been taken over by ‘drug users’ has been moved to safety.
Southwark Police issued a closure order on the address in the Old Kent Road area last week.
They say the home had been linked to ‘persistent anti-social behaviour’.
The male victim is now being protected at a secure location and given specialist support.
As the News has reported, authorities including Southwark MPS and the council have been concerned cuckooing is on the rise during the lockdown as drug users and dealers attempt to evade officers.
