MILLWALL top scorer Lee Gregory insists he isn’t thinking about how many goals he scores and only cares about the club winning promotion this season.
Gregory grabbed his 22nd of the campaign in the 2-2 draw at Swindon to move to within one goal of Steve Morison’s total in 2009-10 when Millwall went up to the Championship via the play-offs.
But Gregory is more focused on three crucial upcoming games than on achieving any personal milestones.
“Me and Steve always say we don’t care how we win as long as we win,” Gregory said. “Stats? Don’t care about them.
“We want this promotion and how that comes I don’t care as long as we get there.
“With 10 games left every game is massive. If we lose a couple of games in a row we’re out of the play-offs, it’s that close.
“We need to concentrate on Sheffield United on Saturday and after that we’ve got two massive games against Bradford and Burton on a Saturday-Monday which will be very tough.
“Hopefully we can get some points out of these three games and still be in the play-offs or maybe even higher.”
