Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a motorcyclist died following a collision in Lewisham on Monday.
Officers were called by London Ambulance Service to Lee High Road, junction with Burnt Ash Lane, at 11:32am on Monday (November 11) following reports of a serious collision.
London’s Air Ambulance attended and found the 29-year-old man motorcyclist suffering from serious injuries following a collision with a car.
The man was flown to a central London hospital where he sadly died the following day. His next of kin has been informed.
Police said the driver of the car failed to stop at the scene. The car involved was stopped by police a short distance away.
The 21-year-old female driver was subsequently arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of a collision and was taken to a south London police station where she was subsequently released under investigation.
