Two men from Bermondsey have caught the attention of MasterChef’s Greg Wallace and TV personality Tom Skinner for their new app – which claims to ‘help people make their dreams a reality.’
Robert Hisee, 45, and Ted Lawlor, 25, are preparing to launch their latest venture – The Manifestation App – which they said is the first of its kind.
A one-stop shop for well-being, the app promises to combine therapy with manifestation, or positive thinking, to unlock users’ full potential so they can achieve their goals.
Ted is the same age as Robert’s son, but despite the age gap, the pair appear to be going from strength to strength in their business partnership.
Two years ago, they wrote and published a self-help book called The Manifestation Journal, which has been read and bought across the globe.
In the book, readers are encouraged to write about their goals and how they feel – two things that the duo are key to being successful.
Robert, who was brought up on the Bonamy Estate, describes himself as the UK’s top unconscious mind therapist.
Over the last twelve years, he said he’s worked with ‘thousands of people’ – from mums with anxiety to celebrities like Dame Kelly Holmes and Tom Zanetti.
Can these two Bermondsey men help you ‘manifest your true desires’?
As a hypnotherapist, he explained: “I deal with the process of recovery. In comparison, psychotherapists deal with the content of the problem – so they’ll ask about your past and trauma.
“I just try to make people feel normal again.”
For a subscription of £9.99 a month, users of their new app will be able to access this form of therapy delivered by Robert and his team – and for the times therapists aren’t available help will be provided by AI technology.
Ted, who has suffered from depression himself, explained this was important to help people ‘in the times they struggle the most.’
“Our biggest fear was building this app and there not being help available when people are struggling,” he said, “like in the morning or late at night.
“But with AI it will learn from your messages and soon people won’t be able to tell the difference.”
Ted added that the app – which is due to go live before the end of the year – is just one part of it all.
“This is much more than an app to us,” he continued. “We’re trying to build a community. People can use the app and come to in-person seminars and courses.”
Over 150 people turned up to mark the reveal of the new app, including TV Chef Gregg Wallace.
The MasterChef star praised the app and announced that he will be collaborating with the duo on a future project designed to help people improve their mental & physical health.
TV Personality and entrepreneur Tom Skinner, known for being on The Apprentice, was also at the reveal and said he became successful ‘because of manifestation.’
“I never gave up,” he told us. “There are many times when I could have given up and I kept thinking – no I know where I want to be in life. So I kept going. Kept pushing myself forward and keeping my head down – I’ve got to where I want to be in life by believing in myself.”
As well as now being a TV and social media personality, he has run various successful businesses, including a pillow company and a furniture firm.
Some people say they write down their goals and it helps them to stay on track, but not Skinner. “I’m dyslexic so I don’t write anything down.”
He said for him, ‘manifestation’ is all about hitting goals he sets in his head: “I won’t go home until I’ve reached the target set for the day. It’s like a game for me.”
Asked about the power of positive thinking, he said, “Anyone can do it they just don’t realise.”
So will he be using this app? “Course,” he said, explaining he’s already got it on his phone.
Skinner added: “Anyone who’s reading this article right now – download the app. Give it a go. And I promise you, three months, six months, nine months from now it will better your life.”
Keep an eye out for the app, which the creators say will be out ‘before the new year.’
