A man has been hospitalised after ‘falling from scaffolding’ at a construction site on Southwark Park Road, Bermondsey.
Emergency services were called to a block of flats being built near the junction with Macks Road, opposite The Queen Victoria pub, at around 11am today (Thursday, July 20).
Ambulance workers treated the man at the scene before taking him to hospital.
London Ambulance Service sent an ambulance crew, an incident response officer, and members of the Hazardous Area Response Team.
London Fire Brigade (LFB) crews from Old Kent Road, Forest Hill and Greenwich all attended.
Police stopped traffic between Yalding Road and St James’s Road while emergency services responded.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called today (20 July) at 11:11am to reports of an incident on Southwark Park Road, SE16.
“We sent an ambulance crew, an incident response officer, and members of our Hazardous Area Response Team to the scene.
“We treated a man at the scene for a leg injury before taking him to hospital.”
