A Peckham man was among four charged with conspiracy to supply crack cocaine and heroin as part of an intelligence-led operation that saw officers execute search warrants at five addresses this week.
Detectives charged the four men as part of Operation Continuum to crackdown on those supplying drugs in Tower Hamlets.
Officers from Central East’s Gangs Taskforce executed warrants at five residential properties in Tower Hamlets and one in Peckham on the morning of Wednesday, 30 November.

Thirty-nine-year-old Hany Hanoon of Haymerle Road, Peckham, was charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, alongside Leban Abdi, 25, of Saxon Road; Suraj Sanusi, 19, of Aqua Vista Square and Gary Byfield, 40, of Whitton Walk, all in Tower Hamlets.
They appeared in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court on today, Thursday, 1 December.
Abdi and Sanusi were remanded in custody while Hanoon and Byfield were bailed to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Wednesday, 4 January.
Operation Continuum was established in response to ongoing reports of drug supply, drug use and associated criminality in Hackney and Tower Hamlets.
Police re-appeal as distraction burglars continue to target residents
Since March this year, the operation has resulted in 93 arrests and more than 150 charges for drugs supply offences and 95 warrants have been executed.
Officers from the Safer Neighbourhoods Team and Operation Continuum, have working jointly with drugs outreach and treatment teams from the local authority, conducting patrols today in all the areas impacted by the warrants.
Police said this will provide reassurance, crime prevention support and advice while focusing on drugs hotspots in order to engage with those using drugs and refer them into treatment.
