A teenage boy has been stabbed in Burgess Park as police launch an urgent investigation.
Police were called to Trafalgar Avenue, which runs through the park, at 8am this morning (Tuesday, May 9), to reports of a stabbing.
Officers and paramedics attended, discovering a sixteen-year-old boy suffering from knife injuries.
He was rushed to a south London hospital where his condition was assessed as non-life-threatening.
A local resident said a cordon was visible on one of the park paths off Wells Way which runs through the park on the opposite, western side.
Police are yet to make any arrests and a crime scene remains in place.
