A driver has lodged their car on the stairs of The Alleyn’s Head pub after reportedly mistaking the steps for the exit of the pub car park.
The white Toyota became stuck at around 6pm on (Thursday, November 10) and remains in place, wrapped in police tape.
An employee at the West Dulwich boozer said: “Someone just drove through the garden bit and went down the stairs. It’s still there and we’re waiting for something or someone to come and get it”
One passerby, noticing the sticker in the car’s window, joked that it was a “National Trust member gone rogue”.

There were no injuries and no offences were identified. Police say the vehicle has been cordoned off with tape pending recovery.
Located close to the A2199, the pub’s website boasts that it’s “a great spot for good quality pub food” and has a beautiful, spacious beer garden. The pub remains open.
