Wolves have spent nearly £20million already in this window and earlier this week made a bid of the same amount for Burnley striker Andre Gray, underlining the financial might Millwall are competing with this season.
Manager Nuno Santo arrived in the summer after underachieving in one season in charge of Porto, and his challenge now is to ensure Wolves meet raised expectations. They spent £15million on Ruben Neves, and ambition like that in the transfer market must be matched on the pitch.
Wolves also snapped up the experienced goalkeeper John Ruddy and defender Ryan Bennett from Norwich, and a lot will be expected of Diogo Jota, brought in on loan from Atletico Madrid.
