MILLWALL will get an early chance for revenge on the opening day of the 2018-19 Championship season when they host Middlesbrough at The Den.
The Lions saw their 2017-18 play-off ambitions all but ended at the Riverside on April 28, when Tony Pulis’ side won 2-0 to secure their own top-six place.
Millwall won the corresponding fixture between the sides last season, Jed Wallace and George Saville scoring in a 2-1 victory.
Millwall’s first away league fixture is at Championship new boys Blackburn a week later on August 11, and that’s followed by the intriguing prospect of Frank Lampard’s Derby County visiting The Den.
Swansea will be the first of last season’s relegated Premier League sides Millwall will face when the Swans come to south London on September 1.
There is then the first international break followed by a mouthwatering fixture – former Argentina boss Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United at a Den cauldron.
The first London derby follows four days later, when Neil Harris’ side travel the short distance to Loftus Road to take on Steve McLaren’s QPR.
Millwall are at home on Boxing Day for the fourth successive season under Harris, Reading the visitors.
The Lions have a tough-looking league run-in, facing QPR (H), Sheffield United (A), Brentford (H), Aston Villa (A), Stoke City (H) and Wigan Athletic away on the final day on Sunday, May 5.
