MILLWALL striker and current captain Steve Morison could finish his career at the club after agreeing a contract extension until the end of the 2016-17 season.
Morison will be almost 34 when that deal runs out but says he plans to “keep going” for as long as he can and try to earn another contract with the Lions in 18 months.
The 32-year-old said he was pleased to reach agreement on his current deal.
“It’s been a couple of weeks sorting it out. It wasn’t a hard decision, it was just a matter of getting everything in place so everyone was happy,” Morison explained.
“We got that sorted so that was good. I knew that they wanted to give me a new deal, it was just about getting it all in place. Obviously all parties have got their own ideas but I’m glad we got it done quickly.
“Off the back of a good result at the weekend as well it’s nice to have it done and I can crack on now for the rest of the season.
“I’m not looking anywhere else unless something happens. As far as I’m concerned I’ve got myself a contract for next year and I’ll plan to earn myself a contract for the year after and I’ll see how long I can keep going.
“It’s definitely something I’ve thought about and, I’ll be honest with you. it’s something that me and the manager and the owner have spoken about as well so fingers crossed it happens.”
