NEIL Harris believes Jed Wallace is playing better than he ever has for Millwall.
Wallace, 23, enjoyed two previous loan spells with the Lions before joining permanently from Wolves in the summer.
He has scored three goals in eight league games so far this season – just one shy of his total tally in his two previous stints when he played 28 times in League One.
Wallace has been in scintillating form this season, and Leeds were the latest side to have trouble keeping him quiet in the Lions’ 1-0 win on Saturday.
“Jed is a top young player, he’s come into our environment and thrived even more than he has done before,” Harris said.
“We just give him a platform to go and play. He works hard without the ball and knows he has to work hard in this team without it, which isn’t always the strongest point of his game, but he does and then he’s a key player for us in attack.
“We give him the ball and he gets on with it. We give him the freedom to play off the cuff and he enjoys it.”
