CONOR McLaughlin believes Millwall are showing fight to pick up points when they haven’t been on top form recently.
Tuesday night’s 0-0 draw with Hull was a fifth game without a win, but three draws keeps them five points above the relegation zone.
The Lions face a daunting trip to Fulham this weekend.
“We were disappointed in the changing room, we obviously had chances to go and win it,” McLaughlin said. “Things just aren’t dropping for us at the minute.
“We’re not playing at our best the last few games but we’re still picking up points and that’s the main thing. It’s a difficult league.
“It’s a cliché but we’re taking each game as it comes, in this league you have to because there are a lot of good teams. The teams around the bottom have the players to turn it around.
“We just need to keep plugging away and hopefully the wins will come.
“If we don’t win the game we need to make sure we don’t lose it. We’re picking up points even though we’re not at our best.
“That’s important.”
Lee Gregory missed a late chance to win it for Millwall but missed the target with just Allan McGregor to beat.
Steve Morison hasn’t scored yet this season, but McLaughlin stressed the lack of goals is not weighing on the front players’ minds.
“They’re all confident lads and have scored goals throughout their careers, so they don’t have to think negatively about it,” the defender said.
“Obviously it’s difficult not to because things aren’t dropping but they’re confident and we’re confident in them.
“We’ve got quality strikers and it’s going to turn for them.”
