MILLWALL manager was left frustrated by his side’s missed chances as they failed to end their winless run on the road.
The Lions had four shots on target from 18 attempts, with Zian Flemming’s screamer being the only one to find the back of the net.
Tyler Burey and Tom Bradshaw were presented with a number of chances to put the visitors ahead, but they were unable to find the final touch to help Millwall pick up their first away win of the season.
Despite that, Rowett sees his side’s performance as a major positive, highlighting the fact that his side dominated much of the second half by creating regular goalscoring opportunities.
“We had some very, very good chances,” he explained in his post-match press conference.
“Again, that’s what you’re hoping for away from home. You’ve got to put one of those away to win the game, it’s as simple as that.
“You don’t get given goals, we don’t tend to get given goals. We’ve made a few mistakes this year to allow other teams to go ahead but we have to work very, very hard.
“You have to take one of those, there has to be a little bit of quality. I thought there were moments where just an extra bit of quality on that final pass and we could’ve gotten into some very good areas.
“Like I said, to have created four or five, I’m talking very good chances, glaringly obvious chances, I have to be pretty enthused by.”
