MILLWALL hope to have Lee Gregory and Paris Cowan-Hall back to face Stevenage next week, but it seems Saturday’s game at AFC Wimbledon will come too soon for them.
Jack Powell and Lee Martin picked up quad strains earlier in the week and weren’t risked at Bromley.
Both could be available on Saturday and striker Jamie Philpot is also close to a return.
Harris stressed the club were being extra cautious with Powell and Martin.
“They both wanted to play,” he said. “But at this stage of the season we can’t take any chances where a slight niggle suddenly becomes a four- to six-week injury.
“Hopefully we’ll have them both back come Saturday.
Ben Thompson hobbled off at Hayes Lane, but Harris had intended to name a different starting line-up at Kingsmeadow anyway as he is keen that individual team units get the chance to form understandings.
“There will be different personnel playing together,” Harris said. “Certain boys will play for longer (than they did at Bromley). The youngsters will get another chance. We’ve an U21 game coming up against Kingstonians as well so there will be plenty of minutes for everybody.”
Harris will also shuffle his defence after Sid Nelson and Mark http://pharmacygen.com Beevers played the opening half on Tuesday before making way for Byron Webster and new signing Tony Craig.
“The idea was to give the guys 45 minutes each,” the Lions boss explained. “We’ve rotated the centre-halves to play with different people.
“We’ve got two left-footers and two right so they’ve played with each other now and we’ll continue to do that during pre-season until I pick my final pairing.
“The subs we made (at Bromley) were what we had decided prior to the game.”
Goalkeeper David Forde was at Bromley and could also make a return to face Neal Ardley’s side.
Meanwhile Norwegian trialist Henrik Breimyr may also get another chance to impress.
Harris said: “Henrik came highly recommended. It was a great opportunity with a couple of boys not making it to give him 20 minutes with the first team.”
Carlos Edwards will probably not be risked but should make a playing return next week.
“Carlos is keen to get going,” Harris said. “His enthusiasm is fantastic and it rubs off on the group. We’re putting no pressure on Carlos, he’s been out a long time.
“But he’s looking great and we’ll give him an opportunity to feel his way back in.”
