AIDEN O’Brien won his second Republic of Ireland cap when he came on as a substitute against Denmark on Saturday.
O’Brien replaced Shane Long in the 83rd minute of the Nations League fixture, which ended 0-0. Shaun Williams was on the bench, after boss Martin O’Neill made a surprising selection call to play Fulham full-back Cyrus Christie in midfield.
Ireland play Wales tonight in Group B4.
In Group B3, Shane Ferguson played the first 56 minutes as Northern Ireland lost 1-0 in Austria on Friday, before being on the bench for the 2-0 defeat away to Serbia on Monday. Conor McLaughlin was an unused substitute for both games.
Meanwhile, in CONCACAF Nations League qualification, Mahlon Romeo was on the bench for Antigua & Barbuda, who beat Bahamas 6-0 away.
Millwall’s international contingent will resume full training with their club on Thursday ahead of Saturday’s Championship trip to Reading.
