MILLWALL will attempt to stretch their unbeaten run against Sheffield United to four games when the sides meet at The Den this Saturday.
The last time the Lions lost to the Blades was in November 2010 when Andy Reid scored to give the away side a 1-0 win at The Den.
That result, United’s first win in five games, should sound as a warning to Millwall this weekend as Chris Wilder’s side visit south London without a victory in four fixtures this season.
In fact they are winless in seven since beating Shrewsbury 2-1 on April 19.
Millwall boss Neil Harris will be without Shaun Hutchison after the defender limped off at Peterborough on Tuesday night with a reoccurrence of a hamstring injury minutes after coming on for his competitive debut.
Shaun Williams could be available after a head injury kept him out at ABAX Stadium, as could David Worrall after he remained on the bench at Peterborough with a tight hamstring.
Millwall scored in the second minute through Chris Taylor when the sides met at a raucous Den in March, but Wilder is playing down the fear factor around playing in SE16.
“We know what’s coming,” Wilder told Sheffield Telegraph. “It might be seen as an intimidating place to go but that’s www.health-canada-pharmacy.com/products.html only in the stands, not on the pitch. Out there it’s 11 versus 11. Nothing more, nothing less. It’s our players versus their players and we have to make sure we do whatever it takes to win.”
Wilder saw his team lose 3-0 at home to Southend on the same night Millwall were humbled at Peterborough.
And he expects that to add an edge to Saturday’s contest.
“Quite possibly, their result was as much a shock as our one was,” he said. “I’m sure what Neil will be telling his lads won’t be that different from me. He’ll want to see them come up with something after what happened too.”
Wilder is hoping influential midfielder John Fleck – who scored for Coventry in their 2-1 win over Millwall at Ricoh Arena last April – will be fit after picking up a knock against Southend.
Goalkeeper Simon Moore is in the squad after completing his switch from Cardiff on Friday.
Former Millwall midfielder Martyn Woolford is in talks to join Fleetwood.
