GOALS from Fred Onyedinma and Lee Gregory gave Neil Harris’ men a 2-1 win at Hayes Lane on Saturday afternoon.
The Lions were deserved winners in a game in which Harris changed his entire side in the 62nd minute.
Millwall went in front in the third minute when David Worrall swung in an inviting free-kick to Onyedinma, who rose highest inside the penalty area to head home via the underside of the crossbar.
Twenty-two minutes later, the hosts restored parity when a mix-up in the Millwall defence let in Bromley trialist Tobi Sho-Silva. Sid Nelson and David Forde were both hesitant as the ball took an awkward bounce just outside the area with the defender attempting to head back to the Lions keeper. The ball went beyond Forde, who couldn’t prevent Sho-Silva slotting home into an empty net.
Less than two minutes later Ben Thompson surged into the box before squaring for Gregory, who finished neatly.
Millwall started the second period with the same energy as the first and should have extended their lead, but Worrall saw an effort saved after a Steve Morison knock-down.
Harris made 11 substitutions with just under half an hour left, and that contributed to the game understandably petering out.
