MILLWALL must find an attacking alternative when the Championship resumes this Saturday as Mason Bennett cannot play against his parent club Derby County.
Bennett, 23, joined the Lions on loan in January and that deal has been extended until the end of the campaign, along with the agreements for Jayson Molumby, Ryan Woods and Luke Steele.
Former England underage international Bennett was instrumental in Millwall’s last game, the 3-0 win at Nottingham Forest on March 6, having a hand in two of Matt Smith’s hat-trick goals.
Lions boss Gary Rowett could turn to Tom Bradshaw or Jon Dadi Bodvarsson to replace Bennett, or alternatively play Ben Thompson – if he recovers from a quad strain in time – or Ryan Leonard in an advanced midfield role.
Rowett also has the option of playing 5-2-3 against a Rams side possessing dangerous attackers, with two of Jed Wallace, Shane Ferguson, Connor Mahoney, Jiri Skalak and Aiden O’Brien supporting a lone front man.
